Waterproof & Breathability Technology

Equii-Est turnout rugs feature a 3000mm waterproof rating, helping protect your horse during light to moderate rain.

Breathability ranges between 3000–8000 MVT (Moisture Vapour Transmission)in g/m²/24 hours, allowing excess heat and moisture to escape while maintaining comfort.

The hydrophilic PU coating draws sweat and moisture away from the horse. Temperature differences inside and outside the rug help push moisture outward through the fabric.

During heavy rainfall, outer pores may temporarily fill with water, preventing airflow and creating a temporary 0 breathability state, which can sometimes cause condensation inside the rug.

All turnout rugs include taped seams at major stitching points for improved waterproof performance.
