PP Electrolyte Plus (30 Servings)

Electrolyte PLUS provides a full spectrum replenishment supplement ensuring your horse’s electrolyte requirements are met as per daily nutritional requirements. Contains sodium, chloride, potassium, calcium and magnesium which are essential for maintaining overall health whilst being kind to the gastric system. Ideal for all horses and ponies, particularly those in work or that sweat a lot.

Electrolytes are important for:

• Cardiac function,


• Muscle contraction,


• Dilation of blood vessels,


• Nerve impulse conduction,


• Kidney filtration,


• Gut motility,


• Maintaining internal pH Levels


• Hydration.

A deficit of these important minerals can result in poor muscle function and performance issues.

Horses in work are likely to sweat more during exercise, especially during warmer weather. Electrolytes are lost through sweat, and these are often not replaced by water intake and daily feeding alone. Therefore, it is advisable to consider feeding an electrolyte supplement.

Based on 30ml (18g) Scoop 

Light Work

• Under 250Kg: 3/4 scoop


• 500kg – 600kg: 1 – 1.5 scoops


• 600kg: 3 scoops

Medium Work

• Under 250Kg: 1 – 1.5 scoops


• 500kg – 600kg: 2-2.5 scoops


• 600kg: 4-6 scoops

Hard Work or Hot Weather

• Under 250Kg  3 scoops


• 500kg – 600kg: 4-6 scoops


• 600kg : 5-7 scoops
