Durable Waterproof Horse Rug

Constructed with a strong 600 denier ripstop outer fabric, this waterproof turnout rug offers excellent protection against rain, mud, and everyday field wear. The outer fabric is Teflon coated, helping repel water and dirt while maintaining durability. A smooth nylon lining helps support coat condition while allowing the rug to sit comfortably on your horse. Available in a full range of sizes from 3’6” to 7’3” for just £78.99.

Detachable Neck for Flexible Protection

The detachable neck cover provides additional protection during colder or wetter weather while allowing you to remove it when conditions are milder. This versatile design makes the Espoir rug suitable for a variety of winter turnout situations. Shoulder gussets improve freedom of movement, allowing your horse to graze, walk, and move naturally while wearing the rug. This affordable waterproof horse rug delivers premium quality without the premium price.

Secure and Comfortable Fit

For stability and comfort in the field, the rug features adjustable twin buckle chest straps, cross-over surcingles, and adjustable leg straps to ensure a secure fit. A large tail flap offers additional protection from wind and rain, helping keep your horse dry during wet weather turnout.

The Meaning Behind the Name

The Espoir turnout rug is named in tribute to Esther’s beloved beagle puppy Hope. The word Espoir means “hope” in French, which felt like the perfect name for this rug.

Hope was full of love and happiness, always the first to greet everyone at the door and quick to offer cuddles when someone needed cheering up. She had the personality everyone wishes for in a dog  incredibly loving and caring.

Although she was given just one week to live due to a heart condition, Hope defied expectations and lived to the age of two, bringing joy to everyone who knew her.

Waterproof & Breathability Technology

Equii-Est turnout rugs feature a 3000mm waterproof rating, helping protect your horse during rain and wet conditions.

Breathability ranges between 3000–8000 MVT (Moisture Vapour Transmission), allowing excess heat and moisture to escape while maintaining comfort.

The hydrophilic PU coating draws sweat and moisture away from the horse. Temperature differences between the air inside and outside the rug push moisture outward through the fabric.

During heavy rainfall, water can temporarily block the outer pores, creating a temporary 0 breathability state, which may cause condensation inside the rug and sometimes be mistaken for leaking.

All turnout rugs include taped seams at major stitching points, although it is not possible to tape every stitch, webbing, or fastening.
