With a 0g fill, this rug provides lightweight protection from rain and wind without adding unnecessary warmth. It is ideal for horses that get hot easily or during warmer months when heavier rugs are not required.

The detachable neck cover allows you to adapt the rug depending on the weather, providing additional protection when needed while allowing greater freedom of movement when removed.

Constructed with a strong 600 denier ripstop outer fabric, this waterproof turnout rug is designed to withstand everyday turnout conditions. The Teflon coating helps repel water and dirt, improving the rug’s weather resistance and durability.

A smooth nylon lining helps maintain coat condition and ensures a comfortable fit for your horse.

Designed for comfort and practicality, the Lite Vision rug includes shoulder gussets to improve freedom of movement while grazing or walking in the field.

Waterproof & Breathability Technology

Equii-Est turnout rugs are designed to keep your horse comfortable and protected in all weather conditions. Our rugs feature a 3000mm waterproof rating, helping to prevent rain from penetrating the fabric during turnout. At the same time, they offer breathability levels ranging from 3000–8000 MVT (Moisture Vapour Transmission), allowing excess heat and moisture to escape.

MVT is measured in grams per square metre over 24 hours (g/m²/24h). The higher the MVT rating, the more breathable the fabric, helping to keep your horse comfortable while wearing the rug. Hydrophilic PU Coating

All Equii-Est turnout rugs feature a PU coating with hydrophilic properties, meaning the fabric naturally attracts and draws excess sweat and moisture away from your horse’s body. The temperature difference between the air inside and outside the rug then pushes moisture outward through the fabric, helping maintain comfort during turnout.

Understanding Breathability During Heavy Rain

During heavy rainfall, the outer pores of the fabric can temporarily become covered with water. When this happens, airflow through the fabric is reduced and the rug may briefly enter a zero-breathability state. This can cause moisture to build up inside the rug, which may sometimes be mistaken for a leaking rug.

Taped Seams for Waterproof Protection

All Equii-Est waterproof turnout rugs feature taped seams at key stitching joints to improve water resistance. However, due to the nature of rug construction, it is not possible to tape or heat-seal every stitch, webbing, or fastening point.
